The search term “aXXo” is among the top searches on every torrent site, and even anti-piracy organizations use his name to trap people into downloading fake torrents.He has been worshiped among the torrent community and there is even a prayer written in his respect:

How ever aXXo has decided to take a break and has not officially uploaded any torrents since november 10th.So what should we do in his absence? Besides praying for him to come back as soon as possible a great way to support him is to go on seeding his high quality DVDRips and keep his torrents alive!

i thought axxo only re-encoded scene-releases (thus making them “his”) and provided it to the masses.
it’s a widespread/believed rumor that aXXo doesn’t even do his own rips, he just redo’s real rippers’ works.
like hell its fake if its not at vcdquality. i downloaded I am Legend, long before vcdquality had a mention of it. just check the prefeeds, and if you don’t have access, go rent the movie, these rips aren’t for you anyways.

Unless he shows us that he actually has his own DVD9 source of these releases that he is pushing out, he is a fake. All he does is just take a DVD5 encode (which tries to leave the DVD9 video untouched with the best audio, which you usually don’t get uncompressed video for big movies) and then re-encode it to a file size HE sees best. I bet he doesn’t even use a bitrate calculator. I mean 900MB for Transformers please.
Anyways, this article just fuels the fire for scene/torrent drama.It blatantly shows that a group named aXXo releases are better than the scene releases. Most of those scene groups are just in it for the topsite, but some actually enjoy what they are doing. Or the ones i’ve met. The scene used to stand for people that actually wanted to get their shit out right. Now all I see is proper after proper after repack. Why not just be a good ole’ group and actually maybe watch your releases before you pre them or even show them to a nuker, it doesn’t hurt to have a second look. But I know you guys won’t be reading this.
This is a tricky situation. I’m all for everyone’s media being sharable. If you needed to take a sample from my song or needed lyrics or something I would give it to you. We are coming up on a new age is all. An age where one mans words can be the same exact as the others and not be blamed for plagiarism.
ive been downloading axxo rips for a while now. I love the quality and appreciate everything he has done / given us. But i do download from other uploaders as well. The fact that people stoped using BT becasue of no more axxo rips is dumb. That’s like saying ur going to stop eating because ur fav hero / actor is on a hunger strike. Only the idiotic follow……real people lead.
You put PreVaiL on the list of good release groups, and group quality groups in with torrent scum. More than half of their releases are nuked, and any decent site has them banned or every racer skip listed to ensure they don’t spread from .uscolo
The scene does not support torrents, and you shouldn’t support the scene.

Always check the size of the download. If it’s 1.5k for a complete movie, it’s fake. Also, be sure to download Peer Guardian. It blocks all suspected Anti-P2P companies from accessing your computer. A very handy program. If you don’t have it, you’ve probably already been spotted by them.
It provides a real-time list of IP Addresses that are being blocked.
Leetay from TPB should be included in the list. He is cranking out good rips. My 2 cents.

axxo did nothing other than make copy’s of a copy and distribute the result (lower quality) to the masses. kvcd encoders are useless (espescially since you can by a dvd player that will play xvid for 35 bucks at walmart)

You blahdiblah on about topsites and all and doing it for teh creditz and what not, but people who download a movie really don’t give a *SH*T* about that. They just want a movie that they can watch on their pc/home cinema without having some nuked shit or ppl walking through the screen on a bad cam version. aXXo provided the good stuff, re-encoded or not so *he* gets the credits. I find all this complaining rudimentary. Why are people bashing aXXo when he is not here to defend himself. I’ll tell you why. It’s because he is too busy finding and producing quality movie rips. I have tried to do a few dvdrips from some movies with the intent on uploading for all to have. It’s not easy. Whether aXXo does his own work or tweaks the works of others the time and effot spent should be commended.
